Who this is
annawebdesign is a sole-trader web design studio operated by Anna, trading as annawebdesign, based at 7 Carrick St, Mullinahone, Co. Tipperary, E41 E363, Ireland. For the purposes of data protection law, annawebdesign is the controller of the personal data described below. You can reach me about any privacy matter at support@annawebdesign.com.
What I collect
When you use the contact form, the checkout, or otherwise get in touch, I collect the information you provide directly: name, email address, phone number, business name, postal/billing address (for checkout), and the details of your enquiry or order. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 also collects standard usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device type) — see the Cookie Policy for exactly what that involves.
Why I collect it and the lawful basis
I use contact and enquiry details to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to prepare a quote or take on a project (lawful basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract, and performance of a contract once one exists). I use checkout and billing details to process your order and arrange payment (lawful basis: contract performance, and legal obligation for any tax record-keeping). Where you've given consent for analytics cookies, that data is used to understand how the site is used (lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time via "Cookie preferences" in the footer).
How your enquiry reaches me
Depending on how the site is configured at the time, a form submission either sends directly to a form-processing service or opens your own email client addressed to support@annawebdesign.com. If a third-party form-processing service is active, it acts as a processor on my behalf and only handles the data needed to deliver your message to me — it does not use your data for its own purposes.
How long I keep it
Enquiry and project correspondence is kept for as long as needed to respond to you and, if you become a client, for the duration of our working relationship plus a reasonable period afterward for accounting and legal purposes (typically up to 7 years for financial records, in line with Irish tax record-keeping requirements). If your enquiry doesn't lead to a project, I don't keep it indefinitely — it's deleted once it's no longer needed.
Who I share it with
I don't sell or rent your data. It may be shared with: a form-processing or email service used to receive your enquiry (where configured); Google Analytics, only if you've consented to analytics cookies; and any professional advisor (e.g. accountant) as needed to run the business lawfully. I don't share your data for marketing purposes with third parties.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data I hold about you; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data deleted where there's no legal reason to keep it; restrict or object to certain processing; and receive your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email support@annawebdesign.com — I'll respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland) (21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28, or https://www.dataprotection.ie), though I'd appreciate the chance to sort out any concern directly first.
Cookies
Full detail is in the separate Cookie Policy. In short: essential cookies run the cart, checkout, and your cookie preference itself; Google Analytics 4 only loads and only sets a cookie if you actively accept it.
Children
This site and its services are intended for business owners and adults acting on behalf of a business. I don't knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change and, for any material change, I'll note it clearly on this page.
